The tear-shaped island of Phu Quoc lies in the Gulf of Thailand,just 45km west of Ha Tien and 15km south of the Cambodian coast. It's about 60km from north to south and if you're game,a good way to get around is on a moped.
The oddly shaped Dinh Cau Rock at the mouth of the Duong Dong River is the symbol of Phu Quoc and is a sacred,holy place. Legend has it that two powerful men who once ruled Phu Quoc were so generous and wise,people started worshipping them at the rock. Fishermen pray there before setting sail,asking for their safe return with a good catch. Phu Quoc National Park covers more than 31,000 hectares,around 70 percent of the island. It has 929 tree species,19 of which were only recently discovered. They provide home and shelter for many species of birds and small mammals such as flying squirrels and sloth monkeys. Trekking is rewarding but should only be done in the dry season.

After breakfast,8h00 start driving to Caibe,This trip provides a look at a wide variety of the life and scenery of the Delta. On the way you can see green rice paddy fields stretching towards the horizon. After arrival in Cai Be,take a sampan cruise to visit to the puffed rice cakes and a rice paper-making workshop,popcorn and coconut candy Mill,then visit Cai Be floating market with sellers and buyers bargaining and exchanging their goods from their boats. Day 2: Cai Rang floating market - Rach Gia - Phu Quoc Island (B, L, D)
The tour's third day starts from Ninh Kieu boat quay with a cruise along the small and picturesque tributaries and a visit to the Cai Rang floating market. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who live along the Mekong canals. We stop to take a walk through the village to visit a rice husking mill and a shop where rice noodles are made (So,you will see and learn how to make them). Then the day continues with a trek along the village to see how the local people live. We return to Can Tho for the departure to Rach Gia,(120km) on the Duong Dong express boat to Phu Quoc (1.30 - 3.30pm). Overnight at your resort on Phu Quoc island. Meals:Breakfast/Lunch

Day 4: Phu Quoc Island discovery (B, L, D)
Morning:The day starts with a visit to the pearl farm of Australia (the real pearls are made on Phu Quoc island) and the coconut prison,built during the Vietnam War. The next stop is the seafood market at the port of An Thoi,where you will have some time to study the daily activities of the local fishermen. Possibility to spend some time at Sao beach to swim,sunbathe or enjoy fresh seafood on this beautiful beach.
Afternoon:Visiting Ridgeback dog &Phu Quoc. Possibility to go to Ham Ninh fishing village,where the traditional fish sauce processing house (the most famous in Vietnam) is situated and visit local wine manufacturers (enjoy local wine free). Meals:Breakfast/Lunch
Day 5: Phu Quoc departure (B, L)
After breakfast,free until time drive to Duong Dong Airport for boarding the afternoon flight to Saigon,where the tour ends.
